AlphaLISA Immunoassays for research and drug discovery
AlphaLISA is a bead-based, no-wash luminescent technology. The acronym "Alpha" stands for amplified luminescent proximity homogeneous assay. An AlphaLISA assay requires two bead types: Donor beads and Acceptor beads. When Alpha Donor and Acceptor beads are brought together through binding to a target/analyte, a cascade of chemical reactions are set in motion, creating an amplified signal. These beads are conjugated with various biomolecules that enable the detection of antibodies, proteins, peptides, or small molecules of interest.
Key Features and Benefits of AlphaLISA no-wash ELISA kits over traditional ELISA kits include:
No washing of the plate wells required so there is ease of use with no wash or separation steps
Faster time to results in 3 hours for most applications
Requires a fraction of the sample size, as little as ~5µL. This greatly benefits some applications in which only small volumes of sample can be collected to measure biomarkers.
Wider dynamic range up to 5 log so there is no need for dilution of samples to redo the test
Improved sensitivity to detect down to femtograms levels of targets
Ability to multiplex with a simple, no-wash assay for easier set-up, saving you time and effort
Ability to study large protein complexes with wide applications for Immune Checkpoint Detection, Fc Receptor Binding Assay, Immunogenicity Testing, Protein-Protein Interaction, Epigenetic Assay, Kinase Assay, and Protein Phosphorylation Assay.
Compatible with many samples types: serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), tissue extracts, cell culture supernatants, cell lysates, and more
For Research Use Only (RUO), not for use in diagnostic procedures.
